January 13, 2011

Portland, Oregon's RED FANG has set "Murder The Mountains" as the title of its long-awaited new album, due in North America on April 12 (April 18 internationally) via Relapse Records. The follow-up to the band's critically-acclaimed self-titled full-length was recorded with producer Chris Funk (THE DECEMBERISTS) and mixed by Vance Powell (THE RACONTEURS).

Two tracks from "Murder The Mountains""Number Thirteen" and "Wires" — can be heard on RED FANG's Facebook page as well as downloaded as part of the free Relapse Recordslabel sampler.

RED FANG has confirmed two mid-February shows for Olympia and Seattle, with additional U.S. dates to be announced soon. The band has also been confirmed for Hellfest, the annual hard rock and metal fest held in Clisson, France in June.

RED FANG's much-talked-about video for "Prehistoric Dog" (taken from the band's self-titled album) will be presented as part of Oregon Music News' 90-minute "Portland Music Videos" showing at the Reel Music Festival this Sunday at Mississippi Studios.
